The Birdsboro Parks and Recreation Department has announced the return of the borough's Christmas lights contest.

Homeowners are asked to register their homes by Sunday, Dec. 4. Judging will take place the week of Dec. 4, and participants will be notified via email when the judges will be in their areas so they can light up their houses.

Winners of the contest, which is being sponsored by Halter Landscaping, will be announced during Christmas in Birdsboro on Saturday, Dec. 10, in Main Bird Park. First-, second- and third-place cash prizes will be awarded. Those who take part in the contest must live within the borough limits.

Registered homes will be part of the hayride tour through Birdsboro that is being offered during the Christmas in Birdsboro celebration.
