The fourth annual Veteran's Memorial Tree Lighting will take place Friday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. Donated by Randy and Deb Hart and their family, the tree will be displayed in Legion Memorial Park, located at the corner of Park Avenue and South Lime Street (Route 472), Quarryville.

This year, several Solanco High School band members will provide instrumental holiday songs. The guest speaker will be Col. Tom McCardell, a Solanco graduate who is retired from the Army and now resides in Carlisle. Attendees may purchase a star on which to honor a veteran.

Refreshments will be available. Proceeds will benefit the Solanco Neighborhood Ministries Food Bank.
