The Arts at Millersville University will present special events to kick off the holiday season.

Irish Christmas in America will take place at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8. The event will feature Irish music, song, and dance, and special guest singer Caitríona Sherlock will perform.

Swinging Through the Holidays with local singer Amy Banks and Harrisburg Jazz Collective Big Band will be held in Club 42, located in the Atrium at the Ware Center, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. Holiday attire is encouraged for this festive concert celebration. The venue is a club-style atmosphere with table seating. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
