Evan Lyon from Lititz traveled to Fort Myers, Fla., to serve locals affected by Hurricane Ian. A student at Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio, Lyon was among a group of students who drove more than 15 hours to clear debris from the hurricane in Fort Myers.

The group was sponsored by Cedarville University's global outreach office, which provided the group with university-owned vans and funding for gas and food. The group connected with human aid organization Samaritan's Purse to organize its service efforts.
