A New Year's Ball will be held at Beale Manor, 200 S. Church St., Parkesburg, on Saturday, Dec. 31, from 8 p.m. to midnight. The event, which is open to adults age 21 and over, will include a buffet, cocktails and beverages, music, dancing, a photo booth, a silent auction and a chance to win prizes.

The first-time fundraiser is being presented by Everybody Plays! - a new community organization that is looking to renovate the playground at Minch Park so that it is accessible to children of all abilities. All proceeds will benefit the Minch Park playground renovation.
