Kara Lynne Werner, the daughter of Laurel Emerson, wife of Steve Werner, and mother of Hannah and Alyssa Werner, earned her Ph.D. in leadership from Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School. Werner graduated from Warwick High School in 1992, received her Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Liberty University in 1996, and earned her Master of Education in elementary education from Millersville University in 2009.

She is currently an ESL teacher at Donegal Intermediate School and the pastor of Gospel Outreach (GO) Church in Elizabethtown. GO Church will meet at its new location at 61 E. Washington St., on the campus of Community Place on Washington, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 3. The church meets on Tuesdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for a Bible study on Revelation, on Saturdays for evangelism from noon to 2:30 p.m., and on Sundays for its worship service from 8 to 9:15 a.m.
