County Bird Club To Meet

The Lancaster County Bird Club (LCBC) will meet on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Farm and Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster. George Armistead, author and found of Hillstar Nature, will present "Bird Families of the World: A Quick and Dirty Primer." A short business meeting will precede the program.

Armistead will give a closer look at a bird's family, which provides better context and a deeper understanding of a bird's distinctiveness and uniqueness. In this quick glance around the globe, the program will take a look at bird families, exploring the biggest and showiest, as well as the unique birds which stand alone as a single species.
