The Columbia-Middletown Elks 1074 hosted a Hoop Shoot Contest at Park Elementary School in Columbia on Dec. 17. Youths ages 8 to 13 competed in a foul shooting contest for a chance to progress to district, state, regional, and national competitions.

The contest resulted in three winners, who will progress to the district competition in Red Lion on Sunday, Jan. 29. The winners are Chase Houck in the category of boys ages 12 and 13; Asher Detz, boys ages 8 and 9; and Lily Porreca, girls ages 8 and 9.
