Hickory House Earns Deficiency-Free Health Survey

Hickory House Nursing Home, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Honey Brook, recently earned a deficiency-free annual health survey.

To pass the state health survey each year, nursing facilities must meet hundreds of criteria. The survey covers a wide variety of care areas in the facility, including nursing care, patients' rights, safety, food services and administration. Surveyors spend several days in the building reviewing paperwork, observing resident care and interviewing residents and associates.

When asked how the facility achieved these results, Tricia Oswald, director of nursing, cited the staff's dedication, passion and genuine care.

Hickory House Nursing Home, located at 3120 Horseshoe Pike, is managed by Life Care Centers of America. Founded in 1976, Life Care is a nationwide health care company.
