All poem and short story submissions must be received by Friday, Jan. 13, at midnight.

Due to inclement weather, the Holiday Artist Gathering and Art Swap has been rescheduled to Thursday, Jan. 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. During this event, artists and community members are invited to network and celebrate the holidays. Artists interested in participating in the art swap are asked to bring a small piece of their own artwork wrapped like a present for a white elephant gift exchange.

Creative York and The Hanover Arts Guild will host Live Art Palooza at The Hanover Arts Guild, 32 Carlisile St., Hanover, on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. During this event, artists are encouraged to participate in a one-hour live art-making session. Members of the public will have the opportunity to watch artists create in real time and then bid on their pieces.

The event is free and open to the public. Artists interested in participating in this event can sign up for one art-making round from 3 to 4 p.m. or 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Registration is first-come, first-served, and space is limited. To make reservations, contact Mindy at mindy@creativeyork.org by Saturday, Jan. 28.
