Garden Spot Village To Host Support Groups

Garden Spot Village, 433 S Kinzer Ave., New Holland, will offer a variety of support programs.

Fellow Travelers in Community will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. in the theater. The group is for those who are noticing cognitive changes in themselves. They are invited to join others for fellowship and tips on resilient living. The program is free and open to the public. The Essential Tremor Friends in Community will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Garden Towers. This is a new location and time. Ryane Devlin, regional director of Continuous Home Health, will present "Medication Management and Home Health Supports." Individuals with essential tremor and their families and friends are invited to attend. This quarterly support group is affiliated with the International Essential Tremor Foundation. Compassionate Neighbors in Community will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m. in the theater. Free and open to the community, this monthly event teaches attendees how to support a friend or family member who is experiencing cognitive challenges. The ELANCO Nar-Anon Family Group meets on Sundays at 6 p.m. in the prayer and meditation room. Nar-Anon Family Groups seek to offer a supportive environment for people who know or have known a feeling of desperation concerning the addiction problem of someone close to them.
