Church Names Music Ministry Coordinator

St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Lebanon, has called Jeffrey Clouser as music ministry coordinator. In this role, Clouser will coordinate and lead the various music ministries of the church, including the choir, handbells, and special music. Prior to St. Mark's, Jeff served for six years as director of music ministries at Palmyra Church of the Brethren, and he recently earned a Master of Arts in church music from Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University.

As music ministry coordinator, Clouser is assisting St. Mark's in its call for vocalists and ringers to serve with the adult, youth, and handbell choirs during worship services. A pleasant singing voice and some note-reading ability are recommended for the vocal choirs. Rhythmic proficiency and flexibility in ringing different bell positions is beneficial for the handbell ensemble. The adult choir currently rehearses on Sundays at 10:30 a.m., after the 9 a.m. worship service. The youth choir practices during children's church, and the bell choir rehearses on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. Music is presented from September through June on Sundays and at special holiday services. Church membership is not required.

Anyone interested in participating in any of these ensembles may contact Clouser at uccmusicministrycoordinator@gmail.com or leave a message with the church office at 717-273-0151.
