The South Coatesville Borough has been approved for a $30,000 grant to upgrade the police department's record management systems. Record management systems are used by the police to store law enforcement records and files, thereby helping to reduce the chances of human error amid policing efforts.

The grant was approved in December 2022 by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency as part of a new Local Law Enforcement Support Grant Program. The program was signed into law in July 2022 by Gov. Tom Wolf.
