4-H Horse Club Plans Meeting

The Lancaster County Saddle Cinches 4-H Horse Club will hold an in-person reorganizational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Meadowind Farm, 1945 Shumaker Road, Manheim.

The meeting will have a drop-in format, with new members and returning members stopping by anytime between 6:30 and 8 p.m. Members must bring a parent or legal guardian to the meeting. During the meeting, members will receive the Saddle Cinches Handbook, obtain an overview of the 4-H record books, and participate in interactive activities with the officers. Attendees should bring any questions they have.

Saddle Cinches is one of the oldest 4-H clubs in Lancaster County and offers many programs and training sessions. Owning a horse is not required. 4-H Horse Clubs provide educational animal science program opportunities, but do not provide horses or riding lessons.

Online registration in the 4-H ZSuite is required, and there is a membership fee for the year, which must be paid when members complete the online registration. New and returning club members must sign up by Friday, March 31. For more information, contact Diane Edmond, Saddle Cinches volunteer organizational leader, at dianemedmond@yahoo.com.

All 4-H programs are available to all youths ages of 8 and 18 prior to Jan. 1. Anyone who needs an accommodations should email Edmond in advance of his or her participation or visit.
