Blue Ridge Launches "Touch A Heart" Initiative

Blue Ridge Communications recently kicked off its 10th annual Touch A Heart campaign, encouraging everyone to make handmade valentines to be distributed to nursing home residents, veterans, soldiers and others.

Last year, Blue Ridge collected more than 11,000 handmade valentines with personalized messages, which were delivered to more than 70 organizations. The cards made their way into the hands of people who would not otherwise receive a card on Valentine's Day.

Individuals and organizations participating in this year's Blue Ridge's Touch A Heart campaign can send their handmade valentines to Blue Ridge Communications, Attn. Cindy Mellinger, 804 Academy Heights Ave., Ephrata, PA 17522.

Blue Ridge will accept valentines through Friday, Feb. 3. For more information about the initiative, visit http://www.brctv.com/heart or contact Mellinger at cmellinger@brctv.com or 717-733-6066, ext. 2551.
