Raise a glass and toast winter, friends and fellowship during Chamber Cheers, an event sponsored by the Elizabethtown Area Chamber of Commerce. The activity will be held on Friday, Feb. 24, beginning at 6 p.m.

Chamber Cheers is a beer-and-food crawl to four venues in Elizabethtown, said Denise Grove, executive director of the Chamber. "Grab your friends or make new friends along the way as we take a break from the winter blues one venue at a time," she said. Each venue will feature exclusive food and drink specials for the tour.

Venues on the crawl will be Pine Creek Spirits, located at 505B N. Market St.; Lucky Ducks Bar & Grille, 45 N. Market St.; Funk Brewing, 28 S. Market St.; and Moo-Duck Brewery, 79 S. Wilson Ave. Participants will be assigned to one of four groups which will determine their starting location and where to park for the tour. A shuttle will provide transportation between stops. Group One will begin at Pine Creek Spirits, while Group Two will begin at Lucky Ducks Bar & Grille. Group Three will start at Funk Brewing, and the tour will kick off for Group Four at Moo-Duck Brewery. Participants may spend as little or as much time as they want at each location, although the event will end at 9 p.m. to allow time for people to take the bus back to their starting location and their parked car.

Participants must be at least 21 years old to participate in the event, and a discounted price will be offered for designated drivers. There will also be separate prices for Chamber members and for nonmembers. Tickets will include the shuttle transportation, a wristband for food and drink specials, a mug and an Elizabethtown scarf.

Grove noted that the event is not a fundraiser, but instead it simply offers something unique to do to fight the winter blues. "We just wanted to provide a fun winter break," she said. "The venues are all Chamber members, which is why they were chosen. ... Let loose and party like there's snow tomorrow."
