GEARS will offer three excursions to the community. Trips will depart from the parking lot at Clearview Bowling Lanes, 1990 W. Main St., Mount Joy, unless otherwise noted. A trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show with George Weigel will take place on Friday, March 10, with a 10 a.m. departure time. "The Garden Electric" is the theme for the 2023 show.

A trip to Washington, D.C., with a luncheon cruise and monument tour during cherry blossom season will be held on Tuesday, April 11, with a 6:30 a.m. departure. The two-hour luncheon cruise will take place aboard the all-glass Odyssey. In addition, attendees will receive a private guided tour of the highlights of Washington, D.C., including monuments.

A trip to experience springtime in New York City will be offered on Saturday, April 29, with a 7 a.m. departure from the parking lot at Elizabethtown Area High School, 600 E. High St., Elizabethtown. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy activities of their choosing. The bus will return at approximately 11 p.m.
