Restaurant Week York, which highlights local chefs and restaurants, will be held from Friday, Feb. 17, through Sunday, Feb. 26. The goal is to highlight the best of York eateries, whether they offer takeout, delivery or dine-in.

Twenty-four York city restaurants are gearing up for Restaurant Week, and diners can start making reservations. For a list of participating restaurants as well as menus, visit http://www.rwyork.com.

This year, the York City Independent Restaurant Association is returning to a single Restaurant Week as supported by restaurants taking a survey at the end of last year. And, it has added a third themed week to continue the festivities throughout the summer.

The three themed weeks will focus on desserts from Saturday, April 15, through Saturday, April 22; burgers from Saturday, June 3 through Saturday, June 10; and drinks from Saturday, Aug. 5, through Saturday, Aug. 12. Each themed week will follow the same pattern as Restaurant Week but will be a little less formal.

Restaurant Week's presenting sponsor is Fulton Bank, and it is being run by Working Progress. Additional sponsors include Tito's Handmade Vodka, Brewdog, Blake's Hard Cider, Rusty Rail Brewing Co., Big Truck Farm Brewery, Big Oyster Brewery, The Botanist, Cointreau, Etude and Penfolds.
