The Elizabeth Hughes Society will meet on Monday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 398 N. Locust St., Elizabethtown. Fran Strouse will be the guest speaker.

Strouse will share the story of the Klein Chocolate baseball team - a story that has been added to the Baseball Hall of Fame's Research Center. Topics will include the team's early years and successes, such as the defeat of a young Boston Red Sox pitcher named Babe Ruth, and the team's playing and beating the best in the Negro League. Strouse will narrate this tale from the perspective of the team's manager, Ray Martin.
