LD High School Chamber Singers perform at Pitt festival

Lower Dauphin (LD) High School's Chamber Singers performed, by invitation, at the University of Pittsburgh's 31st annual Heinz Chapel Chamber Choir Festival on Feb. 19.

Each year, the organizers of the prestigious festival invite just three high school choirs from the state of Pennsylvania. This year's festival was the first held since 2020. The Chamber Singers previously performed at the University of Pittsburgh in 2017 and 2013.

Members of the Chamber Singers include Lily Ditty, Abigail Foran and Sara Olweiler, soprano 1; Amber Abela and Marina Weidman, soprano 2; Kaitlyn Hoffman and Abrianna Nissley, alto 1; Livy Carter and Audrey Meyers, alto 2; T.J. Fausnight and Nathan Wolfe, tenor 1; Joseph Goduto and Hunter Meyers, tenor 2; Mason Barrick and Nikolai Wagner, bass 1; and Jaxon Umidi and Aden Weigle, bass 2.

Under the direction of LD High School choral director Elizabeth Colpo, the Chamber Singers performed an a cappella repertoire ranging from jazz to renaissance and received a standing ovation.
