The protagonist's continuing search for the truth surrounding the events of 1978 leads him to a small coastal town in New Jersey, a mysterious fishing vessel, and an overseas connection to Goa, India. As Chad digs deeper into the disappearance of a young woman, he encounters a more dangerous adversary than he expected.
