Paradise Rotary Club recently recognized its Students of the Month for March. The honorees are Norah Castagna from Conestoga Valley High School, Gilany Marrero from Lancaster Mennonite High School and Nathan Gehman from Pequea Valley High School. They are all juniors. Students of the Month are recommended by school guidance departments, principals or faculty or staff members on the basis of significant achievement and good character and citizenship.

Norah, the daughter of Nicole and Steve Castagna of Lancaster, has been listed on the distinguished honor roll and honor roll. She is secretary of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and a member of National Honor Society (NHS) and Student Council. She has played softball for nine years. Norah was the tech manager for the drama department's production of "The Music Man" and has been on sound crew for five shows since her freshman year. She is also a member of the Overture Orchestra through Nextgen Youth Music for the third year and was previously a member of other ensembles through Nextgen. A Girl Scout since kindergarten, Norah received the Bronze and Silver awards and is working toward the Gold Award. She has volunteered at Relay For Life since 2014.

Gilany is the daughter of Yaritza Marrero-Robles and Jonathan Marrero-Acevedo. She is a Student Ambassador and a member of NHS, the field hockey and softball teams and the staffs of the Silhouette art magazine and Millstream newspaper. She received an honorable mention in the Scholastic awards and was involved in Lancaster Mennonite's production of "Godspell." At her church, she is the head chairholder in the Stake Youth Council.

Nathan is the son of Gerald and Twila Gehman of New Holland. He is a member of NHS, the Barcelona Chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, Apple Core, the cross-country team, weightlifting club and newspaper club. He is involved in social media communications. Nathan won a school math award in his sophomore year.
