March 25. Garden Party Fundraiser

Boone Area Library

129 N. Mill St., Birdsboro, 1 to 4 p.m. Attendees will decorate their own terracotta pot and plant a seed of their choice. There will also be a nature scavenger hunt, a butterfly windsock craft, a Hungry Caterpillar food toss game, food and a photo booth. Tickets are on sale at the library and will also be sold at the door.

March 28. "Edible Parts of Plants"

Honey Brook Community Library

687 Compass Road, Honey Brook, 6 p.m. Open to students in kindergarten through grade five. Children will discuss fruits and vegetables and learn about the parts of plants that grow food. The group will also read "Bring Me Some Apples and I'll Make You A Pie: A Story about Edna Lewis" by Robin Gourley. 207 N. Walnut St., Morgantown, 7 p.m. Local author Kaylena Radcliff will launch the publication of her new book, "Fox: The Elmnas Chronicles, Book II," The event, which will include refreshments, readings from the book and a question-and answer session, is free and open to the public.
