HARTZ PT searching for charity recipient

HARTZ Physical Therapy (PT) is currently accepting applications from local charitable organizations that would like to be the recipient of the proceeds from HARTZ PT's 20th annual Fall Blast 5K run/walk. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7, in Lititz.

Interested nonprofits must be headquartered in Lancaster County or specifically earmark the funds to benefit Lancaster County initiatives. Total annual revenue generated by the applicant cannot be greater than $2.5 million in the most recently completed fiscal year.

Annual proceeds from the event typically range from $12,000 to $20,000, thanks to the support of the Lancaster County community. Last year, the Fall Blast raised $22,000, which HARTZ PT donated to Bench Mark Program. Additional requirements and application forms can be found at http://www.hartzpt.com/community/fall-blast-5k. Applications must be received by Friday, March 31.

Through the HARTZ PT Charitable Organization, founded in 2020, HARTZ PT spends an average of 50 volunteer hours and contributes more than $1,000 per employee in support of local charities each year. To date, the company has raised more than $300,000 by planning various charitable events, including Feed the Need, an April food drive to benefit Power Packs Project; the Spring Swing golf tournament; and the annual Fall Blast 5K Run/Walk.

Bench Mark Program, Off the Streets Lancaster, A Week Away, Aaron's Acres, Lancaster Science Factory and Hospice of Lancaster are a few of the local charities that have benefited from HARTZ PT's charitable programs.
