Wayside Church sets Easter services, egg hunt

Three Easter services and an Easter egg hunt will be held at Wayside Presbyterian Church, 600 Stony Battery Road, Landisville, on Easter Sunday, April 9. All are welcome.

A sunrise service will be held at 6:30 a.m. in the church's backyard pavilion within view of the memorial/reflection garden. The reflective worship experience will include Communion, singing and a morning message, "Truth Beyond Creeds." Fellowship and light refreshments will be available after the service in the church narthex. The sunrise service will be held indoors in the event of inclement weather.

A traditional worship service will be held at 9:30 a.m. featuring choir anthems and congregational singing of Easter hymns. A contemporary worship service will begin at 11 a.m. featuring upbeat music by Grace Notes praise band. Pastor Steve Fitz's message at both the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services will be "Into the Wild: Embracing the Mystery."

The community is also invited to an Easter egg hunt on the church lawn for children up to age 10. The hunt will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. Children should bring their own baskets to collect the eggs.

Staffed children's activities will be available during the 11 a.m. worship service. The hunt will be held between services, so for those who attend the 9:30 a.m. service, the Easter egg hunt will follow worship with dismissal in time to get to the atrium. Those who attend the 11 a.m. service should plan to come early and be in the atrium by 10:30 a.m. to participate in the hunt.
