Friendship Community sets FEST and 5K

Friendship Community will hold its 30th annual FEST and 5K on Friday and Saturday, May 12 and 13. The festivities will kick off on May 12 when Friendship Community will hold its 43rd annual Talent Night from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster. Individuals who attend Friendship Community's programs will showcase their talents.

Exercise and entertainment activities on May 13 will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the organization's main office at 1149 E. Oregon Road. After the Run, Walk, and Wheel 5K, attendees may enjoy plant and Friendship art sales, kids' activities, bingo, and food trucks. All proceeds will benefit adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Friendship Community is a faith-based organization that has endeavored to cultivate capabilities of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism since 1972. The organization offers an arts day program, a home-based service program, and 24 residential homes within Lancaster and Lebanon counties.
