Children attend governor's egg hunt

On March 28, Gov. Josh Shapiro and first lady Lori Shapiro were joined by Pre-K for PA to host preschool and prekindergarten classes from across Pennsylvania for the annual Easter egg hunt at the Pennsylvania governor's residence.

The Shapiros welcomed students, educators, and advocates to their residence in Harrisburg and highlighted the importance of high-quality early-learning programs for students across the commonwealth.

Lancaster Mennonite (LM) School was one of the five regional schools - and the only one from Lancaster County - selected to attend the event this year with its prekindergarten students, teachers and administrators. In addition to the egg hunt, the event offered children opportunities to pet rabbits provided by 4-H, have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny, receive a goodie bag and enjoy snacks.
