Walking tour to focus on architecture

A walking tour of Lancaster's Chestnut Hill neighborhood has been planned for Monday, May 8, by the Serendipity Group of the Newcomers & Neighbors of Lancaster.

The Chestnut Hill area is renowned for its diverse and exceptional architectural styles, noted Rosanne Sietins, the club member who will conduct the tour. Based on a tour Sietins took with architect Gregory Scott, this activity will feature information about design details of various structures, as well as the design rivalry of architects C. Emlen Urban and James H. Warner.

The Newcomers & Neighbors' Serendipity group undertakes frequent activities like this walking tour, including visits to unusual locales, including museums, renowned gardens, and theaters. The group plans its activities at a breakfast meeting held on the first Monday of each month.
