County earns recognition

The American Heart Association's (AHA) Workforce Well-Being Scorecard awarded Chester County government a platinum recognition for building a culture of health and well-being for its workforce. The county achieved platinum recognition - the highest award - by scoring in the top 9% of 381 participating organizations nationwide.

The American Heart Association's Workforce Well-Being Scorecard assesses an organization's culture of health by looking at its mental health policies, health equity measures, organizational well-being strategies to address burnout, and employee financial resources, among other things.

The American Heart Association Workforce Well-being Scorecard, part of the association's Well-being Works Better platform, helps business leaders unleash the power of a healthy, happy workforce. Distinct from traditional wellness programs, Well-being Works Better empowers employers to champion the mental and physical health of their employees and provides actionable guidance to meet the unique needs of their organization.
