Free cancer screenings set

Penn State Health will offer free oral, head, and neck cancer screenings, performed by physicians in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. The screenings will take place on Wednesday, May 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Penn State Health Lime Spring Outpatient Center, 2221 Noll Drive, first floor, Lancaster.

Individuals may be candidates for screenings if they smoke, vape, or chew tobacco or betel nut products; have a sore in their mouth; have had a sore throat that lasted more than two weeks; have had a hoarse voice for more than two to three weeks; have trouble swallowing or feel like something is stuck in their throat; have a painless growth or swelling in their neck; or have persistent ear pain.
