The Samaritan Counseling Center will hold its annual Sea Glass Gala on Thursday, May 18, at the Lancaster Country Club, 1466 New Holland Pike, Lancaster. The reception will begin at 5 p.m., and the event will include dinner, dessert and a live performance by the Lancaster Improv Players.

The gala will also feature giveaway drawings, with prizes such as ocean vacations, Brent Miller jewelry, a limo ride with wine tastings, GMR Grand Prix passes and gift certificates to theatrical productions and local attractions. Supporters do not need to be present to win.

As a nonprofit, the Samaritan Counseling Center and its services are supported by the contributions of individuals, businesses, corporations and foundations. Samaritan strives to ensure that quality, professional counseling services are accessible to all people by offering subsidies for individuals, families and children who are unable to afford the full fee for counseling. Samaritan provides more than 12,000 counseling sessions per year. In addition, the organization provides outreach services through TeenHope, a teen mental health screening program in Lancaster County schools that seeks to help identify at-risk students before a crisis situation can occur.
