Dinner theater to support local charity

The Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater, 3065 Lincoln Highway, Paradise, has announced that during May, audiences will have an opportunity to donate to a local charity.

Lancaster County residents who donate two cans of food or pay an additional fee to benefit The Factory Ministries can receive discounted tickets for the show only. The offer is based upon availability and is valid for any show happening at the Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater in May. Tickets that include dinner and the show are also available for a fee plus an additional donation to The Factory Ministries.

The Factory Ministries serves local families by providing immediate relief such as food and shelter when needed, along with resources for long-term growth and support. To learn more, visit http://www.thefactoryministries.com.

Upcoming shows at the theater include a variety magic show, "Mystery," starring illusionist Brett Myers. During the show, audiences will be able to explore mysterious worlds such as Atlantis, the magic of never growing old in Neverland and the excitement of the Roaring '20s. The show also dives into other worlds in segments such as "Masquerade Ball" and "Secret Agent."

"Jukebox Jive" is a new music variety show that celebrates jukebox hits of the '50s through the '80s. The show features vocal performances, variety acts, comedy, magic and new technical elements.

In prior years, the Magic & Wonder team has offered smaller appetizers and concessions during the shows. This year, the team is debuting a full dinner show experience that involves a multi-course meal served 90 minutes before a guest's selected show time.

For the holidays, the theater will present "Winter Wonderland," a magic show, and "Holly Jolly Jukebox," a music show, in November and December.

"The Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater Show" was originally begun by Myers, an illusionist. Myers has recently been awarded the Merlin Award for the Best Magic and Variety Show.
