Mount Joy Rotary lauds students

The Donegal High School Counseling Office and Career Resource Center has announced that Sierra Houck and Caleb Miller were the Mount Joy Rotary Students of the Month for April. Students of the Month are honored by members of the Rotary Club during their monthly luncheon meeting.

Sierra, daughter of Robert and Julie Houck of Mount Joy, is a member of Mini-THON, the swim team, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and National Math Honor Society. Sierra is also a Link Crew leader. She was also a member of the German Club and track and field during her years at Donegal. Outside of school, Sierra swims and participates in Girl Scouts. She plans to attend college and major in biochemistry and then attend medical school in order to become a psychiatrist.

Caleb, son of Brian and Amy Miller of Marietta, is a member of National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Key Club and the Booster Club. With 4-H, he is a Teen Leader, a Beef Ambassador, and president of the Red Rose Beef Club, and he attended the State Leadership Conference. He received the 4-H Diamond Clover Award, which is the highest achievement. Caleb has exhibited livestock for over 10 years at the Elizabethtown Fair and the Manheim Farm Show. Caleb has attended Thaddeus Stevens College his senior year and will continue there next year. He hopes to earn an associate degree in electromechanical technology and get a job maintaining and repairing technology in essential production facilities and agriculture.
