June 8. Strawberry Festival

Honey Brook Presbyterian Church

4331 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook 4 to 7 p.m. Hot dogs and barbecue sandwiches will be available along with strawberries, cake and ice cream by donation only.

June 9. Stories With Teachers

Boone Area Library

129 N. Mill St., Birdsboro,11:30 a.m. Children are invited to listen to a story read by a Daniel Boone Area School District teacher and then do an art or STEM activity. The program is recommended for children ages 5 to12 and registration is not required.

June 10. Berks Strollers Hike

Swatara Rail Trail

June 11. Explore the Gardens of Hopewell Furnace

Hopewell Furnance National Historic Site

2 Mark Bird Lane, Elverson, 2 p.m. The Friends of Hopewell Furnace invite the public to join Penn State Master Gardeners to explore the award-winning gardens of Hopewell Furnace. There will be a short walk. The program is free.

June 11. Concert in the Park

Honey Brook Borough Park

71 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook. Featured will be the band Across the Pond. In lieu of an admission fee, nonperishable food donations will be accepted for the Honey Brook Food Pantry.

June 13. Science and Storytelling

Boone Area Library, 6:15 p.m. A Science + Storytelling Show will be presented by Talewise. Children will explore Newton's Laws of Motion, air pressure, chemical reactions and more. The program is recommended for children in kindergarten through grade five. Registration is not required.

June 14. Summer Reading Program Kickoff

Village Library

207 N. Walnut St., Morgantown, 10 a.m. Featured will be music by the "Music Play Patrol!"

June 17. Chicken Barbecue

St. Peter United Church of Christ, 1920 Ridge Road (Route. 23), Knauertown. Takeouts will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The meal will include half of a chicken, a baked potato, a vegetable, a roll and dessert. For tickets, call 610-469-9690.

June 20. Lego Night

Honey Brook Community Library

687 Compass Road, Honey Brook, 6 p.m. School-age children and teens are welcome to build with Lego blocks. Registration is required. To register, call the library at 610-273-3303 or email tmauchline@ccls.org.
