Talk to focus on sustainable landscaping

The Master Watershed Steward Program will present "Tap Talks: Sustainable Landscaping" on Wednesday, June 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Artifice Ales & Meads, 55 N. Main St., Manheim.

Attendees will learn how sustainable landscaping aims to reduce the negative environmental impact of development and traditional landscaping while working in harmony with nature to protect and increase nature and its ecological functions.

The program on June 14 is an extension of the larger Tap Talks series hosted by the Penn State Extension's Master Watershed Steward Program. It will provide information about the mission to make sustainable landscaping the new normal by helping people make the connection between their property or the properties they manage and the health of the natural world.

The speaker will be Tony Campisi of Campisi Property Service, a family-owned and operated, full-service sustainable landscaping company based in York. Campisi will discuss the Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP) certification program and speak on sustainable landscaping.

The program is free, but attendees must be 21 years of age or older to register. To reserve a spot, visit https://extension.psu.edu/tap-talks-sustainable-landscaping.
