Church World Service (CWS) Harrisburg will hold a World Refugee Day Block Party in Uptown Harrisburg on Saturday, June 24, from noon to 3 p.m. The event will be held outdoors, rain or shine, and is free and open to the community. Event activities will include a baby goat petting zoo, henna painting, a DJ, a photo booth and a balloon artist.

CWS Harrisburg holds office spaces in Harrisburg and Carlisle to welcome and empower refugees and immigrants in the greater Harrisburg area. Its mission is to help refugees resettle, form long-lasting relationships in the community and maintain their own basic needs in a sustainable lifestyle.
