Over the past several months, members of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1290 River Road, Marietta, have been exploring various ways people can connect with God, others, and the world around them. On Sunday, June 25, members will focus on connecting with God through magic, beginning at 9 a.m. in the social hall. The gathering will include a magic show by Zion member Eric Vera.

Vera became fascinated with magic during his time in Sunday school at Zion when another member, Scott Sullivan, shared magic one morning. Vera was amazed that ordinary people could learn these amazing feats and perform them directly in front of viewers. Using a magic set borrowed from his older brother, Matt, Eric began learning simple magic tricks. Over the years, his interest for magic has grown into an avid hobby.
