Library posts activities for youths, adults

Quarryville Library Center, 357 Buck Road, Quarryville, has announced three upcoming events. These events will run from 6 to 7 p.m.

The library will host an Adult Spelling Bee on Thursday, June 22, for people age 18 and up. The library will provide snacks and award prizes.

The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania will offer a history lecture and slideshow titled "Riding the Rails - 175 Years of Passenger Train Service" on Thursday, July 20. Attendees will learn about passenger rail service, and there will be a question-and-answer time. The program is for adults and older youths.

The Lancaster County Department of Parks and Recreation will present "Insects - Friend or Foe?" on Thursday, July 27. The program, for adults and youths, will share how to attract the best bugs to one's garden.
