Library posts July schedule

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. For details and registration, call the library at 717-252-4080 or visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

The library will be closed on Tuesday, July 4.

SummerQuest, themed "All Together Now," will continue, offering free activities to keep everyone learning, reading, and physically active throughout the summer. The GO Get Outdoors program is also available, and materials may be picked up at the library.

Upcoming programs include Baby and Toddler Story Time for children from birth to age 3, Wednesdays, July 5, 19, and 26; Kindermusik for children from birth through age 3, Wednesday, July 12; and Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 to 5, Fridays, July 7, 14, and 28. These programs will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., and reservations are requested.

Meet Pigeon - A Special SummerQuest Story Time will be presented on Friday, July 21, from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The program, for children ages 3 to 11, will center on the character Pigeon from Mo Willems' storybooks. Attendees should bring a camera for photo opportunities. Reservations are required.

Online Lego Challenge, for people of all ages, will be offered on Mondays, July 3, 10, 17, and 24. The challenge will be posted on the library's Facebook page. After building their creation, participants should take a photo and post it in the comments or email it to kreutzcreeklibrary@yorklibraries.org.

Perler Bead Crafternoon of Fun, for people ages 6 to 18, will take place on Tuesday, July 11, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Beth Rebert from Fun-In-It Storytelling will present Enemy Pie Storytelling on Thursday, July 13, from 6 to 7 p.m. for families.

LEAP Into Science - Rocks Rock! will be held on Thursday, July 27, from 2 to 3 p.m. This interactive experience is for children ages 6 to 12.

The library will host Girl Scout Summer Day Camp, for those in kindergarten through fifth grade, from July 24 through 28 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Girls will learn life skills through hands-on crafts and games. Registration is required.

People of all ages are invited to attend Design Your Own T-Shirt. Sessions will be offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 17 and Tuesday, July 18. Attendees should bring a white or light-colored, 100% cotton T-shirt or a pillowcase or canvas bag.

Local artist Robert Oughton will lead Drawing for All on Thursdays, July 6, 13, 20 and 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. Youths age 10 and up and adults may attend, and they should bring something to draw on and something to draw with.

Three special programs are planned for teens ages 12 to 18.

The library will host Teen Board Game Night on Tuesday, July 25, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Mixed Media for Teens will offer an opportunity to create mixed-media art on July 6 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Space is limited, and reservation is required.

Teen Bookmark Making will be held on Saturday, July 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Drop-ins are welcome.

The library will also offer its year-round programs.

Builder's Club, for people ages 6 to 12, will be held on June 15 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Tween Programs for people ages 9 to 11 will be held on July 11 and 18 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on July 11, and the Library Squad will meet on July 18 to shape library programs for tweens.

The Teen Leadership group will not meet in July. For information on the group, call Kayla at 717-252-4080.

The Spoiler Alert! teen book review group will meet via Zoom on July 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Reservations are requested.

Manga Book Club for teens will take place on July 15 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Teen Area. This program will occur after the library is closed to the public. Only teens attending this program will be allowed inside.

Stitch and Chat groups, for knitters and crocheters, will meet on July 6 and 20 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and on July 18 from 1 to 2:45 p.m.

Reiki Meditation with Miranda will take place on July 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Green Thumb Garden Club will meet on July 13 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Melanie Markowski will present "Lovely Lemon Herbs."

York Chess Club, for people of all ages, will be held on July 11 and 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library Branch Support Group will gather on July 25 at 5:30 p.m.
