Taize worship services posted

Saint Luke Episcopal Church, 209 S. Market St., Mount Joy, will host a series of monthly worship services based on the music from the religious community of Taize, France. Services will take place on Saturdays, July 1, Aug. 5, and Sept. 2, at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Music based on the Taize tradition will be performed by Lancaster harpist and cantor Davie Krak, who has created original compositions for the meditative chants that are central to Taize worship. The candlelit events will also include Scripture, prayers and meditation, and a Eucharist celebration.

July's service will honor the late Rev. Pauli Murray, an American civil rights activist, advocate, legal scholar and theorist, author and Episcopal priest.

Taize worship at Saint Luke is ecumenical and open to all.
