Concert to highlight works by young composers

First Reformed Church, UCC, 40 E. Orange St., Lancaster, will host an "Organic Reflections" organ concert on First Friday, July 7, at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.

The 30-minute program, titled "The Next Generation: Young Composers," will feature classical works for organ by composers from 19 to 29 years of age. Presented by guest organist Ken Krause, the program will include "Festive Intrada" by German composer Paul Fey, 25, and works by Simon Christian Nilsen, 27, of Norway and 19-year-old Dante Pasocomi of the United Kingdom. The concert will conclude with "Fantasie en Toccata op 'Heer, U bent mijn leven'" ("Fantasy and Toccata on 'Lord You Are My Life'") by Gert van Hoef, 29, of the Netherlands.
