Tahrington Rose Maya Phillips of Wrightsville received a Bachelor of Arts from Washington and Lee University on May 25. She graduated summa cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Phillips majored in English, with a second major in cognitive and behavioral science (B.A.).

Commencement ceremonies for 453 Washington and Lee seniors were held on the university's historic front lawn.
