Church plans Taize service

Saint Luke Episcopal Church, 209 S. Market St., Mount Joy, will host a worship service based on the music from the religious community of Taize, France. The service will take place on Saturday, Aug. 5, at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Music based on the Taize tradition will be performed by Lancaster harpist and cantor Davie Krak, who has created original compositions for the meditative chants that are central to Taize worship. The candlelit event will also include Scripture, prayers and meditation, and a Eucharist celebration.

Taize worship at Saint Luke is ecumenical and open to all.
