The Hershey Civil War Roundtable will meet on Thursday, Aug. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 542, 8000 Derry St., Harrisburg. The meeting will also be livestreamed via Zoom and Facebook.

The speaker will be Jason Dilts, sharing on "The Army Medical Department: The Response of the U.S. Army Medical Service to the War of the Rebellion." The presentation will explore the growth of the Army Medical Service in direct relation to the Civil War, the need for improvements, the achievements and failures of the service and statistics related to the service.
