Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, will offer two upcoming events. Activities are free and open to the public, but preregistration is required by contacting 717-964-3808 or governordick@hotmail.com and providing a name and phone number in case the program is canceled.

A sunrise hike will take place on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 6 a.m., offering the opportunity to watch the sun rise from the top of the tower. Attendees are advised to bring a flashlight to use at the beginning of the hike.

The Golden Eagle Hikers will host a shorter and slower paced hike for those over 50 on Sunday, Aug. 27, at 1:30 p.m. Attendees should wear proper footwear and bring water.
