The Solanco cross-country teams kicked off their 2023 season with a scrimmage against Pequea Valley that also included an alumni run and a friends and family picnic on Aug. 19.

"This was our best attended event to date," said Craig Ausel, Solanco Cross Country and Track and Field Alumni Association board member. "We've generated over $4,000 towards our 2024 scholarships. We still have lots of sponsorship signs available for both individuals and businesses."

The next Solanco cross-country alumni event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the high school cross-country course from 4 to 6 p.m. This is also the last home race of the season.
