GEARS posts programs

A Girls' Lacrosse Clinic for girls in kindergarten through eighth grade will be offered on Saturdays, Sept. 9, 16 and 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Elizabethtown Area High School (EAHS) Field 2, 800 E. High St., Elizabethtown. The clinic will consist of drills and games, and it will focus on the basics of lacrosse, including cradling, scooping, passing, catching and goal scoring. The clinic will be taught by EAHS girls' lacrosse coaches and players. The fee includes a T-shirt and mouthguard.

Game Changer Canine Training will use games and exercises to teach concepts and skills to help dogs achieve calmness, optimism, impulse control, disengagement from distractions and more. Classes will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays, Sept. 11 to Oct. 30, at Legion Park, Marietta. The class is open to individuals age 16 and older.

Feel Good Yoga, for people age 14 and older of all fitness levels, will be offered on Mondays and Thursdays, Sept. 11 to Dec. 14, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Mondays and 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursdays at Masonic Village Carpenter Chapel, 1244 Bainbridge Road, Elizabethtown. There will be no class on Monday, Oct. 9; Thursday, Oct. 12; Monday, Nov. 20; and Thursday, Nov. 23. People may choose to attend one or two days per week. They should bring a yoga mat and yoga block.

Hatha Flow Yoga will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept. 6 to Dec. 11, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Masonic Village Carpenter Chapel, 1244 Bainbridge Road, Elizabethtown, and on Saturdays, Sept. 16 to Dec. 23, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Community Place on Washington, 105 E. Washington St., Elizabethtown. There will be no class on Saturday, Oct. 7. The class is for people age 14 and up, and no experience is necessary. Options will be provided for more or less intensity throughout the class so that it is tailored to individual participant needs. Participants should wear layers of comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, strap and block. There is a discount for those who sign up for two or more sessions.

Let's Line Dance will be held on Tuesdays, Sept. 12 to Nov. 7, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria at the Donegal Intermediate School, 1177 River Road, Marietta. There will be no class on Oct. 31. The class is open to beginners as well as those with experience line dancing, and it will feature a variety of kinds of music. It is open to people age 14 and up.
