Borough to officially open new playground

The Elizabethtown Borough Council will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of new playground at Elizabethtown's Community Park on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m. All families in the area are invited to join the celebration at 1 Ken Lane, Elizabethtown.

Over the past year, the borough has planned and worked toward the creation of a new playground to replace the Fun Fort Playground, which served as a play area for over three decades. The new playground features a diverse array of interactive and accessible play elements, from imaginative play structures to sensory experiences. The borough used a portion of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to support the development of the playground.
