Library posts programs

Milanof-Schock Library, 1184 Anderson Ferry Road, Mount Joy, will offer a variety of programming. All programs are free, unless stated otherwise, and require preregistration. For more information and to register, visit http://www.mslibrary.org or call 717-653-1510.

The library will be closed Saturday, Sept. 2, and Monday, Sept. 4.

The Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank will hold a blood drive at the library on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Scheduled appointments are strongly recommended. To make an appointment, visit http://www.717GiveBlood.org and click "Donate Now" or call 800-771-0059. Walk-ins are welcome. A form of ID is required.

Gently used books and media can be donated to the self-service shed behind the library on Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Programs for children and teens include Super Science for children age 3 and older on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 10:30 a.m.; Snorey Time Story Time for families on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m.; Family Story Time on Wednesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 6 to 28 at 10:30 a.m.; Adventures with Baby on Monday, Sept. 11, at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 6 months to 2 years; Lego Challenge on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m.; Fun Fort Friday for families on Friday, Sept. 15, from 5 to 6 p.m.; and Fun Family Bingo on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m.

Several activities have been planned especially for homeschoolers age 7 and up. Identical sessions of the Homeschool Art Class will be held on Sept. 12 at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday, Sept. 14, at 1:30 p.m. Homeschool STEM will be available on Sept. 19 at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday, Sept. 21, at 1:30 p.m. Homeschool History Mystery will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 10:30 a.m. and Sept. 28 at 1:30 p.m.

Teen Chill & Draw with Hannah will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 1 p.m. for teens who like to draw or want to learn. The library will provide supplies, but teens may also bring their own.

Activities for adults will include game night on Sept. 6 at 5 p.m.; Closely Knit, for knitters and crocheters, on Mondays, Sept. 11 and 25, at 1 p.m., with no registration necessary; Quilt Study on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 12:30 p.m.; Joyful Stitchers Cross-Stitch Club, for people of all skill levels, on Sept. 16 from 9:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.; book bingo on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m.; Easy Writer Club, for writers of all levels, on Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m., with no registration required; Make-It Monday, for people age 16 and up, on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.; and Book Discussion Group - Lit Lovers, focusing on "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig, on Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m.

The Friends of Milanof-Schock Library will hold meet on Sept. 11 at 6pm. New members are welcome.

An informational program about Medicare will be held on Monday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m.
