Boone Area Library

129 N. Mill St., Birdsboro, 10:15 a.m. Senior citizens, adults and children age 3 and over are invited to play picture bingo. The program is offered every Friday. Small prizes will be awarded.

Sept. 9. Berks Strollers Hike

Hamburg Park/ Bartram Trail

The group will meet at 9:30 a.m. The 4-mile in-and-out hike will be from the park on a wooded trail following the Schuylkill River to the Kernsville parking lot continuing onto the Bartram Trail. For directions or more details, call Ellen, the hike leader, at 610-301-7271.

Sept. 9. Balloon Dance Party

Boone Area Library, 10 a.m. Children up to age 5 are welcome to dance, sing and play with balloons. Music and balloons will be provided. Registration is not required.

Sept. 13 and 14. Fall Story Time

Village Library

207 N. Walnut St., Morgantown. Preschool story times will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. beginning on Sept. 13.

Sept. 16. Fall Fest

St. Mark's Lutheran Church

5 Brooke Manor in Birdsboro, 11a.m.to 3 p.m. Featured will be food, including apple dumplings; children's activities, including a barrel train ride, face painting and a moon bounce; a silent auction; live music; and bingo. There will also be an opportunity to win a fall/Halloween-themed quilt. Tickets for apple dumplings as well as tickets for the quilt can be purchased ahead of time by visiting the church office or contacting the church at secretary@stmarkbirdsboro.org or 610-582-8167.

Sept. 21 Community Cancer Support Group

Conestoga Mennonite Church

2779 Main St., Morgantown, 7 to 8:30 p.m. All are encouraged to attend who are survivors and current cancer patients. The group offers refreshments, encouragement, education, hope and comfort. Contact Cheryl for more information at 610-762-0002 or CSGCMC@PTD.NET.
